Bar K2 Ranch is owned and operated by Brian Knutson. The ranch is located in Baytree Alberta with pasture there, as well as additional pasture just out of Dawson Creek, B.C.
The broodmare facility is located 28.5 kms east of Nisku, Alberta. Managed and operated by Myrtle Nickel, who personally ensures the mares have everything they need to produce healthy, quality foals. The mares are wintered at the Boordmare Facilty, and foal out each Spring.
"I started in the reining horse industry in the year 2000 with the purchase of an own daughter of Reminic and a granddaughter of Little Peppy and have enjoyed a good amount of success with the horses I have shown and raised. With the help of Wayne Latimer and his son Duane I was fortunate to purchase the stallion "Lokota Chic." To date we have enjoyed great success with this talented great minded stallion. He is trained by Brad Giesbrecht and Duane Latimer. Thank you Amanda fro the 3 years that you had shown Lokota. As Lokota starts a new programme, Gaylene Sawchuk has recently taken on the Breeding Management and Promotin of Lokota Chic and his offspring, he will be standing in Langley BC.She will also be trying her hand at showing him at major shows in U.S in Non Pro ..
